Hamilton woman still missing after Carlisle search turns up nothing

Carlisle police searched Wednesday night and this morning for a woman reported missing from Hamilton on Friday.

Brandi Lynn Payne, 31, was last seen Aug. 17 after an argument occurred between acquaintances after a sleepover in Hamilton, according to missing persons flyers posted on social media. She was last seen leaving with friends.

On Wednesday, Carlisle police received a tip from a family member of Payne that “her body was deposited on Park Street near the railroad tracks,” said Chief Michael Bruck.

Police searched the area for about two hours and returned this morning, but did not find Payne.

“There was a tip from someone who heard it from someone, who heard it from someone else, who heard it from someone else,” Bruck said.

Hamilton police Sgt. Richard Burkhardt said detectives are continuing to look for Payne. Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to call 513-868-5811.

Payne stands 5 feet, 8½ inches, weighs 120 to 135 pounds and has with brown/black hair and brown eyes.

She has piercings on the right side of her lower lip and right side of her nose and tattoos including a butterfly covering up the name “Brittany” on her right arm above the elbow, a cupcake on right arm below the elbow, a colored star with initials “MRN” underneath on her right hip and a quote on the left side on her ribs.
