Heroin, marijuana discovered during Wayne County traffic stop

Troopers arrested a Richmond couple after investigators said they found heroin, syringes and marijuana inside their vehicle during a traffic stop on Interstate 70 Friday night.

Indiana State Police stopped Timothy Wilson, 35, near the Cambridge City exit around 9:20 p.m. after a trooper spotted his vehicle with a headlight out, according to a release.

Wilson told troopers he and his passenger, Lindsey Jones, 31, had been living out of the car, the release said.

A K-9 alerted troopers to the drugs inside the vehicle and Jones was also said to have crystal methamphetamine on her, according to investigators.

Both Wilson and Jones were booked into the Wayne County Jail on multiple felony drug charges.
