A home health nurse was shot after a gun accidentally fired while at a patient’s home near Cambridge City, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
The nurse was taken to Reid Health and is in stable condition.
A gun was on the table near a bed and fired when the nurse was walking between the bed and table Monday morning.
The nurse believed the gun caught on her clothing, causing it to fire, according to the sheriff’s office.
A bullet went through the nurse’s right buttock and lodged in her right arm.
