One of the boys attempted to put the fire out and suffered a minor burn to his leg, which was treated on the scene, fire officials said.
According to fire investigators, the boys were home alone, however a neighbor had been checking on the boys, but the neighbor was not at the residence when the fire started.
The family will displaced from the home for several days, firefighters said.
Investigators are now checking to see if any charges will be warranted against the parents of the children for leaving them home alone.
