Update@7:10 a.m.:

Neighbors called firefighters when they noticed flames in the back of the house, fire officials said.

Firefighters quickly put out the fire when they arrived and determined no one was in the home after searching.

The house was vacant and being remodeled, firefighters said, adding that no firefighters were injured.

A fire investigator was being called to the scene to determine the cause of the fire.

The cost of the damage is is not known at this time.

Firefighters are battling a fire at what appears to be a vacant home in the 400 block of fountain Avenue in Dayton early Monday morning.

Police have blocked off Fountain Avenue at Salem Avenue as a result of the fire.
