How the weekend of protests in Dayton looked in photos

Protests erupted across the country over the death of George Floyd, an unarmed black man, at the hands of a police officer seen with his knee on Floyd's neck in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Dayton had two days of demonstrations Saturday and Sunday, and is among at least 40 cities that have imposed curfews.

Protests on Saturday turned into clashes with police, with some people throwing bottles at officers, damaging police cruisers and businesses in downtown Dayton.

Nearly 40 people were arrested over the weekend; the majority were residents of Dayton.
