A Huber Heights Dental Group was busy last Friday improving the oral health of children from the community through the Give Kids A Smile program.

The program is to provide dental care and oral health education to children without dental insurance. It’s a collaborative effort among the American Dental Association, the Ohio Dental Association and other state and local dental societies throughout the U.S.

12 volunteers from Kondas Dental Group provided free cleanings, exams, fluoride treatments, sealants and filling to 24 children.

“Through this event, our office is able to reach children in the community who don’t have access to dental care or oral health education,” Dr. Chris Konda said. “It is our aspiration that by encouraging proper care and oral health education at a young age, the importance of dental health will be valued and carried through adulthood.”
