The group of local volunteers called “Protecting Our Waterways” worked shores along the Great Miami River from Indian Lake to Piqua.

Organizers say “litter piling up in local rivers and streams take away from the beauty and safety of the local waterways.”
Over the years, volunteers have collected everything from tons of tires to dead chickens to a class ring.
