Indictment returned in July shooting at Hookah Star in Harrison Twp.

UPDATE @ 4:30 p.m. (Sept. 12): A 21-year-old Harrison Twp. man is in jail on $75,000 bail stemming from an indictment accusing him in a shooting at the Hookah Star in late July.

Dalaquan White-Totten, in jail since Aug. 9 on misdemeanor charges of assault and criminal damaging, now stands indicted by a Montgomery County grand jury on two felony counts of felonious assault.

The indictment was handed up Monday afternoon.

The victim’s injuries were determined to be non-life threatening, according to the county prosecutor’s office.

INITIAL REPORT (July 31)

Deputies have dropped a signal 99, requesting county-wide officer assistance, at the scene of a reported shooting in the 1800 block of Needmore Road in Harrison Twp.

Crews were dispatched around 2:45 a.m. to a report of a man shot at 1875 Needmore Road.

Initial reports indicated the shooting happened inside the Hookah Star and Smoke Shop and police have taped off the bar and parking lot.
