Piqua man arrested after crashing pickup into Troy home

A 23-year-old Piqua man is accused of stealing a pickup truck and crashing into the living room of Troy home Sunday morning.

Troy police said Kevin Lux broke into the garage of a home on Miami Avenue and stole a pickup truck with keys left in the same garage.

After hitting a parked car on Miami Avenue, Lux drove to Linwood Drive where he hit another two parked cars before crashing into a home in the 900 block.

WHIO's Steve Baker reports Lux was treated and released for minor injuries at Upper Valley Medical Center before being booked into the Miami County Jail.

No one was injured when Lux crashed into the house where three people, a mother, father and son, were sleeping.

Lux is charged with OVI, breaking and entering, auto theft and leaving the scene of an accident, according to Baker.

Troy police are working to identify the driver of a truck who crashed into a family's living room Sunday morning, according to WHIO's Steve Baker.

Baker reports a family of three was asleep at the home in the 900 block of Linwood Drive when the truck crashed through a wall around 2:20 a.m.

No one in the house was injured in the crash, according to police, after the truck narrowly missed hitting a bedroom next to the living room.

Baker said police have a suspect in custody whom they believe to be the driver. He is uninjured, having only a minor cut to his lip, according to police.

Before crashing into the home, police told Baker the driver also hit at least three parked cars; two on Linwood and another a few blocks away on Miami Avenue.

INITIAL REPORT

No one is reportedly injured after a truck crashed into a Troy home Sunday morning.

Police were sent to the 900 block of Linwood Drive on a report of a truck into a house around 2:20 a.m.

Initial reports indicate no one is at the house and power has been shut off to the home as crews investigate.
