One taken to the hospital after car struck by semi on I-75 SB

One person was taken to the hospital with injuries after a crash Saturday around 5 p.m. on I-75 southbound at Benchwood Road, according to a spokesman with the Dayton post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The car with four occupants was traveling southbound in the right lane when a semi driving in the middle lane hit the car. The car then spun out across the left lanes and struck a guard rail.

The semi continued on after hitting the car, the spokesman said.

The passenger was taken to an area hospital with injuries.
