A 12-year-old boy injured in a Sunday afternoon sledding accident is recovering.
The boy was riding a sled that crashed into the back of a pickup truck, according to a 911 caller.
He was taken by CareFlight to Dayton Children’s Hospital.
The sledding accident occurred around 4:45 p.m. near North County Road 25A and Snodgrass Road, according to Miami County Sheriff’s Office dispatch.
“We had four of them in a sled and they hit the back of a pickup,” the 911 caller said. “They’re all a little banged up.”
The 12-year-old had a possible broken leg, dispatchers said.
According to hospital staff, the sledding accident was the only weather-related injury treated over the weekend.
