JVS students take 60 places at meet

PIQUA — Upper Valley Joint Vocational School Business Professionals of America members were honored during an awards ceremony at the Feb. 4 Region 15 Competitive Events at Bellbrook High School.

JVS students took 60 top places in individual competitions and 22 top spots in the team events.

State contest participants will join more than 2,000 BPA members from 18 regions across the state in Columbus. Awards will be presented March 19. Top winners will advance to national competition May 5-9 in Anaheim, Calif.

Students from Springfield Clark CTC, Greene County Career Center, Tolles Career and Technical Center and school satellites also participated in the competition. The top finishers in each event received a plaque and/or a medallion for their effort.
