Kalaman Memorial Golf Tournament set for Sept. 8

Registration is open for the 17th annual Officer John P. Kalaman Memorial Golf Tournament to be held Sept. 8, at The Golf Club at Yankee Trace.

All proceeds from the tournament go to the John P. Kalaman Scholarship Fund, which provides scholarships to graduating high school seniors and college students. The scholarship fund was established in 1998 in memory of Centerville Police Officer John Kalaman who was killed while attending to an accident scene.

Play begins at 11 a.m, followed by a silent auction at 4:30 p.m. and a pig roast at 5 p.m. The $125 entry fee includes green fees, cart, range balls, prizes, box lunch and pig roast. For preferring to attend the pig roast only, the fee is $35 per person.

Registration forms are available at the Centerville Police Department, 155 W. Spring Valley Road and The Golf Club at Yankee Trace, 10000 Yankee Street. For more information, or to support the event through sponsorship call 937-428-4776. STAFF REPORT
