Keowee bridge closure will impact RTA route

The RTA Route 17 bus will have a long-term detour beginning Tuesday in McCook Field due to construction to the Keowee Street bridge. The bridge, that spans over the Great Miami River, will be closed off throughout 2018 and into 2019, according to the City of Dayton.

The Route 17 bus will thus travel from Keowee Street to Interstate 75 onto Wagner Ford Road and back to North Dixie Drive.

North and southbound stops between Keowee Street and Siebenthaler Avenue will be closed during this period.

The closed stops will have signs notifying passengers where the closest stop to board is located.
