The Kettering Police Department said a teen girl is safe following what was being described as a "suspicious incident" Monday afternoon in the area of Hemphill Road and Glenheath Drive.

“The suspicious incident we were concerned with yesterday has been resolved,” Officer Joe Ferrell said.  “The female has been located and is safe.”

He said there is no evidence a crime occurred.

Police have evidence she was involved in a loud argument with at least two people who were in a tan or gold Toyota Camry, about 4:22 p.m., Ferrell said.

The people in the car were wearing hoodies that were up, covering their heads, so police aren't sure whether they were male or female, he said. The girl did get into the car, he said.

Ferrell released a grainy photo of the girl police are looking for, if for no other reason to let them know she has not been harmed.

Officer Ferrell said the photo is taken from residential surveillance video in the neighborhood.

Neighbors told police they heard what they believed was an argument, but those neighbors told police they didn't see anything, he said.
