Christina French of Liberty Twp. replaces Denise Hayes as principal of Hopewell Elementary. Hayes is moving into an administrative job with Fairfield City Schools, according to Lakota.
Bradley Lovell of West Chester Twp. — an elementary school principal in the Milford School District — will replace Todd Petrey as principal of Creekside Early Childhood School.
Petrey is shifting to the role of superintendent of Springboro Community Local Schools, according to Lakota.
The school board approved two-year contracts with base salaries of $89,500 for French and Lovell effective Aug. 1, according to the school district.
French was serving as assistant principal at Shawnee Early Childhood School. Prior to joining Lakota, French was an assistant elementary school principal and first-grade teacher at Fairfield City Schools, according to the school board.
Lovell — who attended Lakota schools — was previously an assistant elementary school principal in the Forest Hills Local School District before becoming a principal in the Milford School District.
On the high school level, the school board also approved two new associate principals at the freshman campuses.
Lakota East Assistant Principal Stacy Millburg will replace Suzanna Davis as associate principal at the Lakota East Freshman Campus.
The school board approved in May the move of Davis to principal of Lakota East.
At the Lakota West Freshman Campus, Jason Jackson will become associate principal after having served as assistant principal at Lakota West.
Jackson is replacing Elgin Card, who the school board approved in April as Lakota West principal.
Two-year contracts with base salaries of $87,000 are effective Aug. 1 for the new associate principals.
