3 injured in Dayton vehicle crash that leaves sports car in a front yard

Witnesses told Dayton police a Camaro was traveling at high speed when it apparently missed a turn on eastbound Linden Avenue, hit a light pole and ended up in the front yard of a home, a police sergeant agreed.

He declined to offer any direct comment about the accident, except to say a police traffic officers planned to reconstruct the accident that occurred in the 3200 block of Linden Avenue.

Dayton fire/paramedic officials said one person had to be extricated, another was ejected and a third suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The conditions of the two serious injuries were not available.

As many as three people have been injured in a Dayton vehicle crash in the 3200 block of Linden Avenue that prompted police to put up crime scene tape to keep people back from the scene.

The accident was reported just before 8:30 p.m. Friday night.

The car, which appears to be a sports sedan, ended up in the yard of a home on Linden Avenue.
