A man was freed from a crash and hospitalized following a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 42 south of Xenia Thursday morning.

Deputies said an initial investigation found an SUV pulled out in front of a car causing the crash and ended with the car coming to rest in a field.

The driver of the car was trapped for about 15 minutes. Firefighters freed him and transported him to an area hospital for treatment. His condition was not immediately known.

The northbound lanes of U.S. 42 are shut down at West Krepps Road in Spring Valley Twp. following a two-vehicle crash that sent one vehicle into a field.
Deputies said an initial investigation found an SUV pulled out in front of a car, sending the car into the field.
The driver of the car is trapped inside the vehicle and crews are working to free them from the wreckage, according to our crew on the scene.
