, president and chief executive officer of the Fairfield-based credit union, was appointed chair of Ohio Credit Union League’s board of directors April 6 during the credit union league’s annual meeting, part of the league’s annual convention inVest48, said Patrick Harris, the league’s spokesman.
As chair, Boellner steers the direction of the credit union league from an advocacy standpoint and how to best serve credit unions in the state, Harris said. There are 387 credit unions in Ohio and 279 are members, he said. Chairs have two year terms.
Jennifer Ferguson was the previous chair and is president and chief executive of Bay Area Credit Union in the Toledo area, he said.

Miami University alumna and First Financial executive Laura Raines was appointed to the Cincinnati Bar Association's board of trustees at its annual meeting April 29.
Raines is wealth management vice president and senior wealth relationship advisor for First Financial, according to the company.
In that role, Raines focuses on wealth management including financial planning, trust services, investment management and retirement planning, according to First Financial. She received her undergraduate degree in political science from Miami University and graduated from the University of Cincinnati’s College of Law, according to Jenny Irey, spokeswoman for First Financial.
