Through the hotline, Artemis Center advocates deliver high-quality crisis intervention, safety planning and lethality assessments for victims. Additionally, the hotline acts as the portal to connect not only victims and survivors with services 24 hours per day, but as a support link to family members, friends and our community when they have questions about domestic violence and how to help those in need.
Though Artemis Center advocates will no longer answer the 937-222-7233 line, the organization remains committed to making sure survivors are connected to the local domestic violence shelter and has a one button transfer for those seeking shelter services.

“Since our founding, we have remained steadfast in our commitment to help empower victims in making decisions and choices that will establish and maintain safety for themselves and their children,” said Artemis Center Executive Director Jane Keiffer. “We have served more than 100,000 victims with crisis intervention, safety planning, education, and support, now operating our own 24/7 hotline is just one more way in which we are fulfilling our mission of leading the community in its commitment to end domestic violence.”

Artemis Center, established in 1985, offers intervention services for victims of domestic violence, including child & family therapy, adult therapy, support groups, criminal court accompaniment to five municipal courts in Montgomery County, civil court accompaniment, and advocacy services. All Artemis Center services are free to victims of domestic violence and their children. This hotline serves as a gateway, allowing victims to be immediately linked to the variety of services offered by the organization.
Artemis Center delivers domestic violence education and prevention programs throughout the community, including the Montgomery County Children Services (MCCS) four-week education group for non-offending parents who are involved with MCCS, the Women Who Use Force 12-week education group for victims who were charged with domestic violence but are not abusers, and a MonDay seven-week education group providing domestic violence education for incarcerated women prior to their release.
