Artemis Center for Alternatives to Domestic Violence has announced the launch of a new, 24/7 Domestic Violence Services Hotline.

The number is 937-461-HELP (4357), and it is effective starting June 30, 2017. It is confidential and secure, and the hotline will be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It will be answered by expertly trained Artemis Center advocates, who provide skilled, trauma-informed support services to domestic violence victims in the local community.

Through the hotline, Artemis Center advocates deliver high-quality crisis intervention, safety planning and lethality assessments for victims. Additionally, the hotline acts as the portal to connect not only victims and survivors with services 24 hours per day, but as a support link to family members, friends and our community when they have questions about domestic violence and how to help those in need.

Though Artemis Center advocates will no longer answer the 937-222-7233 line, the organization remains committed to making sure survivors are connected to the local domestic violence shelter and has a one button transfer for those seeking shelter services.

“Since our founding, we have remained steadfast in our commitment to help empower victims in making decisions and choices that will establish and maintain safety for themselves and their children,” said Artemis Center Executive Director Jane Keiffer. “We have served more than 100,000 victims with crisis intervention, safety planning, education, and support, now operating our own 24/7 hotline is just one more way in which we are fulfilling our mission of leading the community in its commitment to end domestic violence.”
