Local educators finalists in Loveland superintendent search

LOVELAND — Some Warren and Butler county educators are finalists in the Loveland school district’s search for a new superintendent.

Patrick Dubbs, Wayne Local Schools superintendent and former Little Miami director of administrative services, and Lon Stettler, assistant superintendent of Lakota Local Schools, are among the final candidates being considered for the position.

Loveland’s Interim Superintendent Bill Sears is also a final candidate. Sears is a former head of Lebanon City Schools and recently worked as the curriculum director for Little Miami through the Warren County Educational Services Center.

The Loveland Board of Education will be completing its first round of interviews by Friday, April 23; they intend to have a superintendent named in May, said Loveland schools spokeswoman Meg Krsacok.

Loveland’s previous superintendent, Kevin Boys, became president of Southern State Community College in January 2010, Krsacok said.

The other finalists are Kathleen Cintavey, superintendent of Wickliffe City Schools; John Marschhausen, superintendent of East Knox Local Schools; Scott Prebles, superintendent of Granville Exempted Village Schools; Michael Richards, superintendent of Allen East Local Schools; and Jeff Weir, superintendent of Williamsburg Local Schools.
