Two hotels in the area are still a mess following the Memorial Day tornadoes.

There has been little progress in the last couple of months for former Hotel Dayton and Ramada Inn and the Liberty Motel on Wagner Ford Road.

Some residents are hoping they don’t become a long-term eye sore.

“15, 20 years it use to be one of the best ones around,” said Leroy Lawson who lives down the street from the hotels. “I think it need to go down, there’s nothing left.”
