A Miamisburg man died over the weekend while swimming in the ocean along the Outer Banks in North Carolina.
The body of Kyler Miles, 35, was found early this morning by Town of Duck police, according to a release from the police department in North Carolina.
Miles went for a swim Sunday morning, and emergency crews were dispatched at approximately 7:53 a.m. for a “swimmer in distress,” according to the release.
Authorities deployed rescue personnel and conducted searches by air and water, but Miles was not located until the following morning, according to the release.
A spokesperson for the police department said the police chief had been with Miles’ family all day today.
