Salma Albezreh, a Morton Middle School eighth grader, has been honored for her volunteer service.

Albezreh received a certificate of excellence from the Prudential Spirit of Community Awards and a President’s Volunteer Service Awards. The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards honors young people for outstanding volunteer services from all across America.

Albezreh, along with Morton eighth grader Elania Burley, created a community service club for the school, named MYSA, which stands for Morton Youth Service Organization.
