Crystal Siglar, a parent who helped organize the halftime performance, said she got the idea for the players and cheerleaders after seeing the high school team dance to the tune at Beavercreek community night.
“In the league that we play we sometimes end up having to play our own team,” Siglar said. “There were so many boys that wanted to play fifth grade football for Beavercreek this year that they had to have three full teams. When it came time for the white team to play the orange team we decided to make it a fun and exciting game day.”
Siglar explained that the parents all sat in the same bleachers and cheered for the opposing team.
“The parents were definitely surprised at the halftime performance and it shows that these kids like to dance!” Siglar said.
