General Mills spokesman Mike Siemienas said the Moses' box will be released in May.
The Wheaties Legends series honors notable athletics that have never appeared on the Wheaties box.
Olympic swimmer Janet Evans and diver Greg Louganis are also being honored year after they achieved global glory.
"We are really excited to be honoring all three," Siemienas said.
Moses won gold medals in the 400 meter hurdles at the 1976 and 1984 Olympics.
The four-time world record breaker was undefeated in the 400-meter hurdles for 10 straight years. He likely would have won gold at the 1980 Moscow games if there had not been a United States boycott.
His reign ended with a bronze at the 1988 Olympics in Seoul.
The Fairview High School graduate was raised on Kimberly Circle on the westside o Dayton.
