Disposable masks will be available for those who wish to wear a mask but do not own one.

All animals available for adoption are posted at www.hsdayton.org/adopt.

If you see an animal posted of the organization’s website that you’d like to adopt, you can fill out an adoption form by clicking on the animal’s information, printing the form and then scan and email the application to

The Humane Society’s adoption counselors review applications in the order they are received. Applications are continually accepted for the same animal in case an adoption falls through.

Once the application is approved, an adoption counselor will reach out to schedule a time to meet the animal.

The Humane Society plans to reopen its MeowZa Cat Boutique at the Dayton Mall on Tuesday with limited hours. All customers are strongly advised to wear a mask. Disposable masks will be available.

The store is limiting visitors to 10 people at a time. Staff will continually sanitize surfaces inside the store and will alter the layout to help people maintain social distancing.

At SISCA, staff will also wear masks during appointments and ask that anyone coming to an adoption appointment do the same.
