One of the kayakers was assisted back to the highway. The other was extracted at a water treatment plant, as there was too much debris in the water to launch rescue craft.

There were no injuries in the incident.

Mad River Twp. rescue crews were assisted by the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Water Rescue Team and Bethel Township Fire Department.
