Mason City Council to support Tri-State Trails plan

Mason City Council is scheduled to consider a resolution Monday, March 14, in support of the Tri-State Trails Regional Trail Plan. The plan calls for development of a trail from the Mason-Deerfield Twp. area to Hamilton or Fairfield in Butler County, connecting the Little Miami and Great Miami trails.

The council is also scheduled to consider authorizing the city manager to contract with Rozzi Famous Fireworks for $50,200 to provide fireworks for special events in the city and for $30,000 with Supergames for entertainment attractions for Red, Rhythm & Boom celebration over the Fourth of July weekend.

The council is also scheduled to consider issuing up to $5.5 million to refinance acquisition of the Golf Center course and a $1.3 million contract with Barrett Paving for the 2016 street resurfacing program.

The council meets at 7 p.m. at 6000 Mason-Montgomery Road.
