Man flown to hospital after crash near Navistar plant in Clark County

A man was flown to an area hospital after a two-vehicle crash on Urbana Road in front of the Navistar plant in Moorefield Twp., Clark County Thursday.

SPRINGFIELD BUREAU: Layoffs scheduled for Navistar’s Springfield plant

Crews were called to Urbana Road south of County Line Road around 12:10 p.m. after the crash was reported.

An initial investigation found a pickup truck was pulling out of the Navistar lot and was hit by a car that was traveling south on Urbana Road.

The driver of the car, a man who was not identified, was taken by CareFlight medical helicopter to an area hospital. His condition was not released.

Two occupants inside the truck were not injured in the crash.

All southbound lanes of Urbana Road were shut down for the crash investigation.

FIRST REPORT

A medical helicopter has been requested following a reported vehicle crash on Urbana Road in Moorefield Twp., Clark County, according to initial reports.

The crash was reported near the Navistar plant of Urbana Road, just south of County Line Road around 12:10 p.m.

A CareFlight medical helicopter was requested to the scene, however the condition of the victim was not immediately known.
