One person, dog transported after entrapment crash in Huber Heights

Update@8:42 a.m.:

One person was transported to Miami Valley Hospital with facial injuries, and one of three dogs in that persons SUV was taken to an area veterinarian for treatment, police said. The name of the victim was not released.

The accident occurred when the SUV slammed into the back of a cement truck, police said. No charges have been filed.

Crews have cleared the scene and Brandt Pike has re-opened.

Careflight has been placed on standby for a reported entrapment crash on Brandt Pike Thursday morning.

Initial reports indicate at least one person was trapped in the wreck, which reportedly involves two trucks in the 1200 block.
