Missing teen from New Carlisle may be out of state

Clark County authorities are working to locate a missing teen who apparently ran away from home.

Kassidy Leigh Lewis, of New Carlisle, was last seen by a neighbor Tuesday night getting into a maroon car in front of her house on White Pine Street, according to her father Roger Lewis.

The 15-year-old Tecumseh High School student left a note indicating she may have gotten a ride from someone she met on Facebook and was headed to Tennessee.

"We have contacted our local sheriff's department, shared her photo and information with them as well as all of our Facebook friends with no results," Lewis said. "With little information to go from, we are afraid she may of ended up in the wrong hands."

A missing persons report was filed Wednesday and Kassidy was added to the national database for missing persons, according to the Clark County Sheriff's Office.

The detective assigned to the case was not available for comment.

Kassidy is 5-foot-8, about 100 pounds with light brown hair and hazel eyes.
