Montgomery Co. Job & Family Services to host Fraud Awareness Day event

The Montgomery County Department of Job and Family Services (MCDJFS) will host Fraud Awareness Day this Wednesday, May 29.

This effort is dedicated to educating the community on recognizing, reporting and preventing public assistance fraud.

The Investigation and Recovery staff will be in the front lobby of the Job Center, 111 S. Edwin C. Moses Blvd., from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to promote fraud awareness by giving away items and answering questions. The public is also invited to wear red in support.

Each  year, MCDJFS disburses over $2 billion in Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, over $200 million in Ohio Works First cash assistance and over $600 million in child care provider subsidies.
