Moraine police officer, 2 others injured in wreck

UPDATE @ 6:28 p.m.: The Moraine officer injured in the vehicle accident was responding to a medical call, along with a city medic unit, when they came upon a Jeep Liberty that was in their path, police Sgt. Jason Neubauer said.

The police cruiser and medic unit had lights and sirens on at the time of the collision, he said. All three people have been taken to Kettering Medical Center.

An investigation is underway to determine which vehicle is at fault, he said.

UPDATE @ 6:10 p.m.: One Moraine police officer and two people in a Jeep have been taken to area hospitals from the collision.

The Moraine deputy fire chief said the injuries appear to be non-life threatening.

Both Main Street and Dryden Road are shut down until further notice.

Police and a medic are at a vehicle accident, believed to involve a Moraine police officer, that has left one of the vehicles on its side.

The scene is Main Street and Dryden Road and there is an extrication occurring.
