Mount Pleasant Retirement Village re-accredited

MONROE — Mount Pleasant Retirement Village in Monroe has attained a five-year re-accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities and the Continuing Care Commission.

The commission is an independent, merged nonprofit that accredits aging services and other human services organizations, Mount Pleasant officials said.

Organizations that receive the accreditation like Mount Pleasant undergo a peer review process and demonstrate to a team of surveyors during an on-site survey a commitment to adhere to commission accreditation conditions and standards.

Mount Pleasant is a not-for-profit continuing care retirement community that has served the Monroe area since 1953. Mount Pleasant, along with seven other Ohio Presbyterian Retirement Services retirement communities, has received the five-year re-accreditation, Mount Pleasant officials said. Mount Pleasant has been accredited for 20 years, they said.
