Death at Dayton apartment complex not considered suspicious

Police said the death of a person found in the apartment at the Jaycee Towers Apartments is not considered suspicious.

Police said the individual suffered from a medical condition.

UPDATE @ 9:36 a.m.:

The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office has arrived on the scene after a body was reportedly found at Jaycee Towers Apartments.

We are continuing to try and find more information about the incident.

INITIAL REPORT:

Multiple Dayton police cruisers remained at the Jaycee Towers Apartments more than 30 minutes after someone reported finding a body in one of the apartments, according to initial emergency dispatch reports.

It’s unclear what police found once they arrived at the apartment complex, however News Center 7 has requested the 911 calls made to dispatchers to gather additional details about the investigation.

Officers responded to the 400 block of Dayton Towers Drive around 8:30 a.m.

At least one detective has arrived on the scene.

We’re working to learn more about the incident from Dayton police officers investigating the scene.
