An unnamed manufacturing facility is looking to relocate and bring hundreds of jobs to Vandalia or another municipality, according to Vandalia officials.
“We really don’t know a whole lot about the company at this point or what they do outside of the fact that it is a manufacturing business and there’s a potential for 300 jobs to come to the city of Vandalia,” said Amber Holloway, Vandalia’s assistant city manager.
Officials said the company is considering property in the Northwoods Business Park.

Holloway spoke about potentially landing the company during a July 9 Focus Vandalia video segment.
The company is also considering other locations for the 400,000-square-foot manufacturing facility, according to Vandalia officials.
“We are very early in the process,” said Rich Hopkins, Vandalia’s communications manager. “We won’t know for a while which way the company will go.”
