Need last-minute summer fun? Cruise-in benefits Butler Township.

Butler Township and the Vandalia-Butler Chamber of Commerce will host the fifth annual Cruise-In to Butler Township this Saturday.

This event started in 2014 and is always a fun community event, according to Township Administrator Erika Vogel.

There is no pre-registration required. Volunteers will direct guests to parking spots, and then they must head to the registration table to collect goody bags, t-shirts and dash plaques that are only given to the first 100 vehicles.

There is no fee to enter the event, but the township and chamber will collect donations for the Vandalia-Butler Optimist Club’s Youth Scholarship Fund. There will be a 50/50 raffle and other raffle prizes throughout the Cruise-In.
