New Dayton health care practice opens, express care coming soon

A Butler County-based healh care safety net provider just opened its first practice in Dayton and will soon open an Express Care as well.

Primary Health Solutions started seeing patients in mid-November at its new office at 300 Forest Ave., near Grandview Medical Center. An office tour will be held 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday where people can meet the providers and learn about services.

The new center is a hub of medical, dental, and behavioral health services, as well as pharmacy and laboratory services and will soon offer Express Care services after hours and on weekends.

Primary Health Solutions is a federally-qualified health center, which provides income-based discounts to make health care accessible, is governed by a patient-majority board, and qualifies extra funding to help cover the cost of catering to the uninsured and under-insured. It joins other federally-qualified health centers already in the Dayton area using similar models, such as Equitas Health, Five Rivers Health Centers, and Community Health Centers of Greater Dayton.

“Integration of services allows for better patient outcomes. Dentists, medical doctors and nurse practitioners, LISWs (Licensed Independent Social Workers), dietitians, pharmacists, etc. all work together and have access to the information from all other providers. This type of coordination results in patient-centered care.” said President and CEO Marc Bellisario.

The practice is now accepting new patients. To schedule an appointment, call 937-535-5060.
