NEW IMAGES: Thieves caught on surveillance in Xenia smash-and-grab

Xenia police have released surveillance images from a smash-and-grab robbery that happened at Boost Mobile, 623 W. Second St.

Police are looking for the public’s help in identifying the people captured by the surveillance camera when the store was broken into the early morning hours April 11.

The photos show one individual apparently throwing a rock through the front-glass door. Four others can be seen gathering outside the break-in point, their faces all or mostly covered.

It was not immediately clear whether the thieves took anything from the store, police said.

That same morning, similar break-ins occurred at a Beavercreek gun shop and two cell phone stores in Englewood.

It’s not clear whether those break-ins are connected to the Xenia incident.
