Troni's Italian Restaurant in Kettering plans to expand into retail space next door and add new dishes to its menu, according to owner Nick Troni.

The ownership torch has been passed from father to son at Troni's Italian Restaurant in Kettering, and the next-generation proprietor is planning an expansion of both the restaurant and its menu.

Nick Troni, who has taken the reins upon the retirement of his father Sami, is looking to take over the retail space next door in the small retail center at 1314 E. Dorothy Lane just west of Wilmington Pike.

The new space will become a special-events room and could be used to boost dining-room seating, Troni told this news outlet. The project is expected to get underway this summer, Troni said.

Prior to that, Troni is planning to add several new entrees and other items to the menu, the restaurant’s owner said.

Troni’s is open for lunch and dinner Monday through Saturday, closed Sundays. For more information, call 937-643-9921.
