Tackett also stated that the same truck used for leaf collection are converted and used for ice preparation so the early ice storm really put a wrench in the city’s schedule. Centerville ended up a week behind on leaf collection and will still be collecting leaves all next week.

In Tackett’s thirty years with the city he said he has only seen a situation like this three times. All of Centerville’s trucks are now winterized and prepared for any snowfall this upcoming winter.
