Ohio’s fitness centers, gyms can reopen this week. Here’s what to expect.

Ohio continues to reopen after many closures for the coronavirus pandemic.

Here are 10 ways going to the gym will be different when they reopen May 26:

  1. Equipment will be spaced 6 feet apart.
  2. Classes will be set up to allow for 6 feet of distancing and may be smaller.
  3. Lost and found will be eliminated.
  4. Facial coverings will be recommended.
  5. Reminders to wash hands, sanitize equipment and social distance will be posted.
  6. Fewer lockers will be available.
  7. Showers must be attended and sanitized between each use.
  8. Steam rooms and saunas will be closed.
  9. Drinking fountains will be disabled but bottle refill stations will continue if they're no-touch stations.
  10. Restrooms and public areas will be cleaned every two hours.
