OHSAA seeking officials for upcoming season

The Ohio High School Athletic Association is currently looking for football officials for the upcoming 2017 season. There are currently about 3,300 football officials in the state of Ohio and 714 schools participating in the sport.

College, conflicting work, and retirement has lead to multiple vacancies on officiating schedules and assignors across the state are interested in adding new officials to their staff.

If interested in becoming an football official you can go to myohsaa.org to create a profile and register for a course in your area. Football courses begin in July and vary in length.

The course fee which is typically around $100,  which covers materials, room rentals and Ohio High School fees.
