Car hits Frontier Telephone Co. building in Troy; no injuries reported

UPDATE @ 6:55 p.m.

There were no injuries in a crash tonight that pushed one car into the Frontier Telephone Company building.

A driver ran a red light at the intersection of Franklin and South Market streets and then sideswiped another vehicle, Troy police officer Zach Hooker said.

“That car struck a utility pole and was pushed into a building,” Hooker said.

Troy firefighters and paramedics checked a couple small children at the scene as a precaution.

There was no damage to the building.

FIRST REPORT

A two-car crash tonight led one car to strike a building.

The crash was reported around 5:45 p.m. at the intersection of Franklin and South Market streets, according to the Miami County Sheriff’s Office.

Medics are on scene but it was not immediately clear how many people were injured nor the extent of injuries.
