One ejected off motorcycle, taken by MedFlight after crash in Darke Co.

UPDATE @ 8:00 p.m.:

A male was not wearing a helmet when he crashed his motorcycle Sunday evening on Richmond-Palestine Road.

The preliminary investigation revealed a 2017 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, driven by Daniel G. Wright, 48, of New Madison, was traveling northbound when he failed to negotiate the approaching curve and traveling off the right side of the road. Wright lost control of his motorcycle in the ditch and was ejected onto the roadway.

Wright was transported by MedFlight to Miami Valley Hospital where he is listed in fair condition.

Darke County deputies, along with Ned Madison Fire, Hollansburg Fire, and Tri-Village Rescue all responded to the crash.

The accident remains under investigation.

FIRST REPORT:

Crews were dispatched around 4:40 p.m. Sunday evening to a motorcycle crash that occurred in the 2900 block of Richmond-Palestine Road.

One person was taken by MedFlight to a hospital with unknown injuries, according to Darke Co. dispatch

According to initial reports, the crash caused a serious head injury.
