The massive Montgomery County outage that caused some 10,500 DP&L customers to be without power for nearly an hour Thursday was "potentially weather-related with all the rain," a company spokesperson said.
Sometimes that can be the "catalyst" for the equipment failure that may have caused the outage, which was reported just after 2 p.m., the spokesperson said.
Power is expected to be restored to the remaining 73 DP&L customer within the hour, the officials added.
Power has been restored to all but 73 DP&L customers in Montgomery County.
Power has been restored to more than 2,000 DP&L customers, bringing the number of customers without power to 8,112.
We continue to monitor the outages, and we’re waiting for DP&L officials to tell us what caused the outages.
The DP&L outage map is currently reporting 10,541 power outages in Montgomery County. We are working to learn more about the cause and specific locations.
