The Shelby County outage was a planned outage so crews could replace a conductor in a substation, according to Dayton Power & Light spokesperson Don Gebele.

UPDATE @ 3:20 a.m.:

According to DP&L’s power outage map, power has been restored to Shelby County.

The cause of the outage is still unknown.

UPDATE @ 1:30 a.m.:

The DP&L outage map reports that the number of people without power in Shelby Country is now 1,782.

No additional details are available at this time.
