Power restored after outage affects over 1,300 DP&L customers in Montgomery County

Power was fully restored to the 1,329 customers affected by an outage Wednesday morning in Kettering.

The cause of the outage was not known.

UPDATE @ 6:30 a.m.:

DP&L is working to learn the cause of the power outage that affected over 1,300 people Wednesday morning, said DP&L spokesperson Rob Beeler.

“Crews were able to restore most of them about 30 minutes later,” said Beeler. “Crews are patrolling now, and we hope to restore the rest shortly.”

About 350 customers remain without power.

FIRST REPORT:

Over 1,300 DP&L customers are without power in Montgomery County this morning.

An outage affecting 1,329 customers east of Kettering occurred around 5:20 a.m. with an estimated restoration time of 7 a.m., according to the DP&L outage map.

A total of 1,340 customers are without power in Montgomery County at this time, according to DP&L.
